The food label names the manufacturer, packer or repacker with address after "FABRICADO o ENVASADO POR", imported foods add the importer's name and address, and third-party-made foods add who is authorised to sell; cosmetics name the NSO holder or the parallel importer using that NSO.

Foods that require one must show the Registro Sanitario number issued by the health authority, and imports with foreign-language labels need a complementary label in Spanish; cosmetics follow the Andean labelling regulation, and INVIMA does not require the NSO code to be printed on the label.

Nutrition claims are limited to the Resolution 810 descriptors, claims without scientific evidence are banned, and a food that carries a front-of-pack warning seal may not make nutrition claims; cosmetics may not claim therapeutic properties.
